Tunde Olaniran is one of the most beloved fixtures of the Detroit music scene, as well as a driving force within the growing artistic community in Flint, MI (where he currently resides.) .

On the heels of his debut album (Transgressor), Olaniran embarked on his first U.S. national tour in support of noise pop darlings Sleigh Bells. He was named NPR’s Top Artist to Watch at SXSW and performed to a homecoming audience of 5000+ at MoPop Festival in Detroit. After collaborating with fellow Michigan artists Flint Eastwood (“Push”) and Mona Haydar (“Hijabi” & “Dog”), Tunde also made his first European appearances in London, Derby (Y Not Festival) and France (Festival Les Escales.)

“The song is me trying to recreate the feeling of free-falling and landing in your own embrace. Vulnerable is a reminder that life isn’t promised and that I should nakedly pursue joy and happiness while I have the chance.”

– Tunde olaniran, on the track “vulnerable”

His previous recordings have led to plenty of praise from outlets such as The New York Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, Noisey, Afropunk and countless others while his penchant for channeling his energies into additional projects as an author, choreographer, video director and community organizer has made Olaniran’s voice one that can’t help but be heard.
